Antonini Old Bear Pocket Knife Review

The KA-BAR Beker BK7 combat utility knife.

In this video I go over the Specifications and why I like the pocket knife.

Overview.

The Antonini Old Bear Pocket Knife is the newest edition too my camping kit. With its elegant olive wood handle and beautiful contours this knife is a great tool and an excellent conversation piece. From slicing an apple to whittling wood this blade will surprise you, other tasks this knife is good at are:

  • Food Prep or as cutlery

  • General EDC (where allowed)

  • Carving

  • Butchering and skinning

  • Processing materials

and a lot more.

As for the specifications.

I will be going over the medium model in the olive wood variant as that is the one I own. At first glance I am overall impressed with this blade, the handle ergonomic in the hand and the brass locking ring adds that extra level of security that really helps.

  • Satin AISI 420 Stainless Steel Blade salt etched with the "Old Bear" logo

  • Brass Locking Safety Ring.

  • Made in Italy.

  • 3.14 inches.

  • Weight 37g

Overall this is a great knife to own for anyone who loves bushcraft, with its affordable price point you will be hard stretched to find a knife with such a beautiful design and ergonomic feel. Some may compare this blade to an Opinel but I believe that it has much superior quality and craftsmanship.
